Kyiv, October 2. Doctor of economic Sciences Anatolіі Peshko told how much the level of development of Ukraine fell after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
A statement on the subject of the economist, spoke on the radio channel “CapitalTV”, figuring that the level of socio-economic development of the Ukrainian state during the 27 years since the collapse of the Soviet Union fell 26 times.
“If Ukraine had not even developed, and remained in the place where it was at the time of exit from the USSR, we would have today a budget of 1 to 1.6 trillion dollars. In fact, we have $ 38 billion,” Peshko said.
To do this, according to the doctor of economic Sciences, it would be enough just to keep the industrial, agricultural potential, in precision engineering, in aircraft construction, in instrument engineering, in space construction at the level of 1991.
As recalled by “gazety” according to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, Kiev should continue cooperation with the IMF, to be able to refinance their earlier loans, and partially to repay external debts.
