The new gas pipeline bypassing Ukraine will cause Ukrainian much more serious losses than the us Ambassador to Kiev Marie Jovanovic predicts, predicting a fall in Ukrainian GDP by three percent after the launch of the “Nord stream-2”.
About this on air of the Ukrainian TV channel “LOT”, said Vice-President of the Academy of economic Sciences of Ukraine Anatoliy Peshko, the correspondent “Politnavigator”.
“I think that the calculations that were announced are approximately true. I would even say that the impact on our economy is likely to be stronger than $ 2.7 billion and proportional to 3 percent of GDP. In fact, the amount will exceed $ 3 billion, and it is painful and very serious impact on the economy of Ukraine. In addition, I want to say that, despite the protests of the European Commission and some politicians in the West, all European companies are already preparing their GTS to increase pumping on the “Nord stream-2”, − said Peshko.
